Dr. Gisele Girault, M.D.

Dr. Gisele Girault is an anesthesiologist, with Board Certifications in Anesthesia, Pain Medicine and Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Girault attended Yale University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry. She received her Medical Degree from the Kansas University School of Medicine in 1990, and completed her residency in Anesthesia at the Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
She was a Clinical Instructor in Anesthesia at the New York Medical College and then worked in the private sector as an anesthesiologist for many years.
Dr. Girault completed a Fellowship in Pain and Palliative Medicine at Dartmouth University in 1999. She stayed on after her fellowship as Assistant Professor of Anesthesia and Medical Director of the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Pain Medicine Fellowship program.
Dr. Girault has been involved in clinical research, and is a published author in Anesthesia literature. She has been in private practice in South Carolina since 2002.

Dr. Gisele Girault is a highly respected anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist with more than two decades of experience in academic medicine and private practice. She is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, and board-certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine.
Dr. Girault is also a Certified Independent Medical Examiner (IME), proficient in the AMA Guides to Permanent Impairment, Fifth and Sixth Editions.

Education and Training
Dr. Girault graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and a minor in Physics.
She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1990 and completed her Residency in Anesthesiology at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
Following residency, she pursued subspecialty training with a Fellowship in Pain and Palliative Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where she remained as Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Medical Director of the Pain Medicine Fellowship Program.

Dr. Girault began her career as a Clinical Instructor in Anesthesiology at New York Medical College before entering private practice in New Jersey, specializing in general and pediatric anesthesia.
Her tenure at Dartmouth included clinical research, pain management innovation, and multiple publications in anesthesia and pain literature. She also contributed a textbook chapter on spinal cord stimulation, further solidifying her reputation as an authority in interventional pain medicine.
